DLA were involved the remediation of Frickley Colliery site to create a new public park that would act as a catalyst for regeneration in this former mining village
Frickley Colliery Countryside Park has been designed as a community resource, combining natural habitats with sports facilities and rambling amenity. 'land art', inspired by local historical and geological narratives has been incorporated into the scheme.
The masterplan development included public consultation and integration with a wider masterplan by BDP.
