The landscape proposals for the 420no. pupil new build school have been developed to create a unified masterplan that provide a hierarchy of stimulating and inspiring educational spaces.

A “whole-school” approach has been taken, where interior and exterior spaces complement one another and the school grounds are maximised as a valuable learning resource. The high quality landscape will enrich and enhance children's lives through sport, play, gardens, outdoor teaching, and social areas - all in a safe and secure environment.

In addition to our proposed scheme we have provided a masterplan framework to allow the school to develop additional areas of the grounds gradually in the future with participation of pupils and the local community.

The landscape has been categorised into character areas, which when combined create a varied external environment which meets the diverse needs of the school.
